I'm Ryan Pylipow, a developer living in Chicago, and splitting my work time between Chicago and Indianapolis.

Out of college, I was hired as a designer by a small startup with big aspirations. I learned a lot, solved some complex problems and made mistakes - typical start-up hazards. I grew tired of relying on others to actually build my designs, so mostly self-taught, I moved into engineering. The company did pretty well eventually getting acquired by ExactTarget and then again by Salesforce.com. I stayed on for a few more years working mostly on web analytics and integrating product and content recommendations into marketing emails.

Recently, I started on something new. We’re a tiny, new start-up, and I get to split my time between product and engineering. There's a lot to do, but I really enjoy it. I'll tell you more about it as soon as I can.

Being from Chicago, if I'm not behind a Macbook, I'm usually eating deep dish pizza.

...I suppose I enjoy other things as well such as sports, drinks with friends and exercise of some sort.
